Marcos Adandía was born in Buenos Aires in 1964.
He carried out studies in Social Communications and Art History.
He delivered workshops on Photographic Essay in Argentina and Mexico at Centro de la Imagen.
In 2003 he won Mother Jones, Fifty Crows International Fund for Documentary Photography award for the best photographic essay of Latin America, in San Francisco, USA.
In 1999 he won a mention at Casa de las Americas in La Habana, Cuba.
In 2010 his work “Entre el cielo y la tierra” represented Argentina in Arles festival, France.
He exhibited his work in Cuba, USA, France, Mexico and Argentina. His photographs are part of public and private collections in France, Mexico, Cuba, USA and Argentina.
He worked as a photographer for international and local media and publishers.
In 2005 he started Dulce Equis Negra, a photography magazine which he directs and edits.
At present he lives and works in Lobos, Argentina.
